Over 18 years ago, before Aleph Male existed, before there was a brand or a bottle or a name โ there was a ritual. Every Friday, before Shabbat, I would anoint my beard with lavender oil and olive oil. Not as a grooming routine. As something closer to a preparation. A way of marking the transition from the week into something holier.
That practice โ anointing the beard with pure Israeli oils before Shabbat โ is part of what eventually became Aleph Male.
This past Sunday, my wife and I visited Azizo Farm โ a short drive from Katzrin, here in the Golan โ one of the only lavender farms in all of Israel. Walking through those fields, surrounded by rows of purple lavender under the Golan sun, I knew immediately: this oil belongs in a bottle.
I brought the lavender oil home to Katzrin. Only 18 bottles are available.
Every drop of oil in this bottle comes from the Land of Israel โ the lavender from Azizo's fields in the Golan, and olive, almond, jojoba, argan, and pomegranate oils all sourced from Israeli farms. It is, in the most literal sense, an anointing oil of Eretz Yisrael.
When these 18 bottles are gone, this batch is gone forever.
